Part Three of this ongoing series will address the unique challenges faced by women scientists in navigating the pressures of their professional and personal lives while maintaining mental wellness. We are honored to be joined by Dr. Karen Shipley, a clinical psychologist from the University of Missouri School of Medicine’s Office of Well-Being and Dr. Courtney Griffin, Vice President of Research, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation who will offer expert guidance on managing stress, building resilience, and prioritizing mental health. Through an open, collaborative discussion, participants will explore effective strategies to overcome common barriers such as workplace demands, societal expectations, and the need for self-care. Attendees will have the opportunity to share personal experiences and gain practical insights to foster a balanced, sustainable work-life dynamic, empowering women in science to thrive both in their careers and personal well-being. This event will be moderated by Dr. Hong Chen, Boston Children's/Harvard and Dr. Skylar King, University of Missouri.
