Abstract: Dr. Yang’s seminar will discuss several new concepts including: 1) aorta is an innate immune organ; 2) endothelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells are innate immune cells; 3) early hyperlipidemia promote metabolomic reprogram to establish trained immunity (innate immune memory); and 4) CD4+Foxp3+ regulatory T cells have immunosuppressive functions sustained under pathological conditions.
