Recruitment Form for New Committee Members

NAVBO is currently recruiting new members for several committees. Committee involvement offers the opportunity to engage with fellow NAVBO members. Committee terms are three years.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE -- focuses on the ways in which we communicate to our members: newsletters, Vascular Biology Publications Alert, our web site, and through social media. Social media has become its primary focus - helping to promote membership, meetings, and some of our online events. If you are a postdoc or graduate student, you must also upload a letter from your supervisor confirming your availability to serve on a committee.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE -- has a three-fold mission: continuing education for our members, educational outreach for the community at large, and career development for those in the vascular biology community. Our activities include organizing webinars, journal clubs and career development forums, developing a curated list of fundamental papers, maintaining a training grant directory and more!

The Education Committee is seeking NAVBO members at any stage in their career who are interested in contributing to their mission.

COMMUNITIES COMMITTEE -- responsible for triggering and maintaining engagement on the NAVBO Vascular Network, our online community. Currently this committee is spurring new conversations within the NAVBO community. Our goal is to engage members and grow participation within the community and make the NAVBO members aware of this important tool, which provides the opportunity to tap into NAVBO's greatest resource, its members. This committee is seeking NAVBO members at any stage who are interested in engaging with the society and their fellow members.

GROWTH AND ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE (GEC) – Members of this committee participate in the organization of bimonthly online Round Tables, interactive panels, and Seminars on topical issues from securing funding to mentoring teams and balancing scientific ambition with personal growth.  We aim to enrich each member's path—helping them grow into confident, innovative researchers with strong scientific track records and lasting impact in the vascular field. This committee meets monthly.
