The Endothelial Cell Phenotypes in Health and Disease GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.

The unique feature of this meeting is a focus on the endothelial cell compartment of the blood and lymphatic vasculature, because it underlies vascular development, sustains vascular function in adults and determines the capacity for repair and regeneration in diseases that affect the vasculature. Topics covered will range from understanding molecular and cellular regulation of endothelial cell diversity in different organs, vessel beds and physiological states to using bioengineering, big data and emerging technical approaches to advance clinical diagnosis and therapies for vascular diseases. A new focus for this meeting will be discussion of sex differences in the endothelium, which are increasingly found to impact on vascular health and disease. By bringing together fundamental, translational and clinical researchers, this conference will catalyze the cross-discipline communication required to make knowledge leaps and to develop effective clinical diagnoses and therapies for diseases that involve the vasculature.
