Translational Pathways: Navigating the Future of Vascular Research
Translational Pathways: Navigating the Future of Vascular Research
Tuesday, May 12, 2026 (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Transforming a laboratory discovery into a clinical application requires a combination of high-fidelity modeling and a strategic understanding of the translational ecosystem. This roundtable brings together technical innovation and institutional leadership to help researchers navigate this complex journey and will feature two distinct perspectives: Jenn Fang, Ph.D. (Tulane University) will discuss the launch of the Tulane Center of Excellence in Microphysiological Systems and Nancy K. Sweitzer, M.D., Ph.D. (Washington University in St. Louis) will guide attendees through the essential frameworks for translational impact.
This roundtable is designed for scientists at all career stages looking to integrate cutting-edge "on-a-chip" tools with the strategic roadmaps necessary for translational success. A moderated Q&A session will be led by Dr. Pengchun Yu (Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation) and Dr. Skylar King (WashU School of Medicine) from NAVBO's Growth Enrichment Committee (GEC).
