Join us as Dr. Xiao-Feng Yang, MD, Ph.D, FAHA,  Professor of Cardiovascular Sciences, Immunology and Pharmacology and Associate Director in Lemole Center for Integrated Lymphatics and Vascular Research at Temple University will present his talk "Aorta is an innate immune organ."

Abstract: Dr. Yang’s seminar will discuss several new concepts including: 1) aorta is an innate immune organ; 2) endothelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells are innate immune cells; 3) early hyperlipidemia promote metabolomic reprogram to establish trained immunity (innate immune memory); and 4) CD4+Foxp3+ regulatory T cells have immunosuppressive functions sustained under pathological conditions.
